Credit Crunch or just another Famine

Food for Thought

In the book of Genesis we will see how our heavenly father provided for an individual and his family in the mist of an world wide economic crises. Our Father
  1. provided Wealth,
  2. gave clear instruction,
  3. clear directions,
  4. and a promise for him and his family's future.

Genesis 41:56 When the famine had spread over the whole country, Joseph opened the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians, for the famine was severe throughout Egypt. 57 And all the countries came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe in all the world.

Genesis 26:1-4,12-16

Isaac and Abimelech 1 Now there was a famine in the land—besides the earlier famine of Abraham's time—and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar. 2 The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. 3 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. 4 I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring [a] all nations on earth will be blessed, 5 because Abraham obeyed me and kept my requirements, my commands, my decrees and my laws." 6 So Isaac stayed in Gerar.

12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. 13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. 14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him. 15 So all the wells that his father's servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth.
16 Then Abimelech said to Isaac, "Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us."

Question !!! I suggest to you that we all have something inside of us that needs planting or birthing. i believe that when things were going good we hide our desire, our dreams and our natural abilities, disregarded abilitiesthat we have, and have not looked at them as gifts or talents, ( as i have just learnt)

well I guess in an a economic crisis we have no choice but to look to our God, hear our own personal word, plant and reap in the same year.

lastly I would like to bring your attenstion to King David in 1st Samuel 30:1-20 when the Amalekites invaded Ziklag and took the women captive. David called for Abiathar the priest to bring the Ephod, David cried out to the Lord and inquired. The Lord said pursue, for you shall recover all.

Amen

so my brothers and sister, famines or economic down turns, i believe should no affect us a heirs and joint heirs with Christ, but an opportunity for us.
